Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-26
1. The parties
The DRYCE platform (the "Platform") is owned by the Ten of Pentacles Trust, a Pennsylvania revocable inter vivos trust ("DRYCE" or the "Trust"). The Platform is operated on the Trust's behalf by DRYCE, Inc., a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, file number 15246981 (the "Operator"). When you create an account or otherwise use the Platform, you contract with the Trust as platform Principal; the Operator acts as the Trust's agent in providing day-to-day services to you. References below to "DRYCE", "we", "our", or "us" mean the Trust acting through the Operator.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old, capable of forming a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction, and not legally barred from using a service of this kind.
3. Identity
One person, one account. Identity is bound to a unique human via biometric verification (when available) or via invite-code redemption (during the closed beta). You may not create or operate more than one account. You may not transfer your account to another person.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the posts, replies, messages, and media you create. You grant DRYCE a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, transmit, and (where you set them as ephemeral) automatically delete that content for the purpose of operating the Platform. You are responsible for everything you post. You represent that you have the right to post it.
5. No ownership, no liability
You are not a member, partner, shareholder, beneficiary, investor, or holder of any equitable or beneficial interest in the Trust, the Operator, or any of their assets — including any treasury balances, on-chain positions, or smart-contract instruments ("Platform Assets"). You have no claim, vote, dividend, or distribution right with respect to Platform Assets. Likewise, you have no liability for any obligation of the Trust, the Operator, or any Platform Asset.
6. Acceptable use
The Platform is operated as a free-speech-compliant service. Speech that is lawful in the United States is lawful here. The conduct prohibitions are narrow and concrete:
- No content that is illegal under U.S. federal law, including child sexual abuse material, true threats of violence, doxxing of private individuals to enable harm, or content that infringes copyright.
- No spam, no scaled inauthentic behavior, no impersonation of another person.
- No interference with the Platform's operation: no scraping at scale, no denial-of-service, no probing for vulnerabilities outside an explicit security-research scope.
7. Enforcement
The only consequence of violating these Terms is account ban. We do not impose fines, slashing, monetary penalties, or any economic forfeiture. Bans are tied to your verified identity and survive any attempt to recreate the account.
8. Direct messages
Direct messages are private but transmitted in cleartext over TLS to our servers; we may access them when responding to a valid legal order, investigating an abuse report, or providing customer support. End-to-end encryption is on the roadmap but not in v1.0.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger Zone. We may terminate or suspend your account for any violation of these Terms or any conduct we determine, in good faith, to be harmful to the Platform or to other users. On termination, the consequences of section 5 (no ownership, no liability) and section 7 (ban-only enforcement) continue to apply.
10. Disclaimer; limit of liability
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
11. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflicts-of-laws rules. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Common Pleas of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, and waive any objection to venue there.
12. Changes
We may change these Terms. We'll notify you in the app when material changes take effect. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
